How do I integrate soldering into my classroom?

We’ve learned a lot from years of running soldering workshops in own community at makerspaces and afterschool programs, and from speaking with the many awesome teachers who use our kits. 

We’ve done our best to distill all these lessons down into a easy to follow curriculum guide aligned to various different STEM education standards.

These are meant to be used in conjunction with each kit's detailed instructions covering step-by-step assembly, safety, components & tools, reading a circuit schematic, understanding series vs parallel circuits, what makes a good solder joint and testing and debugging.

Do you accept purchase orders from schools?

Yes! We provide Net 30 terms to all schools and educational institutions and will typically ship all orders within 3 days.

Do you provide bulk discounts?

Yes! We sell kits in “Educator Packs” with price breaks at 8, 16 and 32 kits and additional discounts for orders of 50 or more of the same kit.

Free Shipping is applied for all educator orders.

What documentation exists for your kits?

Each of our kits certified open source by the Open Source Hardware Association (OSHWA). This means all the CAD files instruction manuals, bill of materials (BOM), etc are shared freely for anyone to play around with and learn from.

All of our kits are designed, prototyped, assembled, packaged and shipped from Sacramento, California, USA.
